Knives are new from John & are of his current work. Real nice fit & finish .Good blade grinds, great steel, and premium handle scales. Liners are ss & mill relieved at the tang, bolsters are ss,shields,ss & pinned.
Expect to see light handling scratches possibly On the bolsters or shield & possibly you may see a pivot pin showing, but these were made for carrying & using, collect them if you will, but it is my history here on BF's selling,I disclose as much as possible. There is nothing avail. on the internet right now as far as custom slipjoints go,with materials like this,in this price range.A great opportunity, especially for a newer enthusiast.
Nothing over $280. delivered.Prices include Paypal fee's & Con US shipping via USPS Priority, insured with tracking. Take $10. off p/knife after the first,on a combo buy. I'll take a US Postal M.O & International shipping is avail as well.
Please feel free to check my feedback here on BladeForums.
I'll describe & price these according & in photo, top to bottom & left to right.
Feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns,Thank You,
-Vince
Top knife is a stag shadow pattern ,(no bolster) , 4.5" closed,a nice full size slipjoint folder with a spring tension to match,it's firm, but right on the money IMO for this size.Exceptional all around $280.
Next,a 4-1/4" pinched bolster slim trapper. Another near perfect slipjoint, with very nice stag $280.Sold
Third down a nice light & thin Ironwood jack, with Missouri fish shield. 4.25" closed, long pull nail opener, medium spring tension $270.
Fourth down a Remington style 'Banana" trapper . This knife is slim & has areal nice action. Bolster & cap,ss.
Exceptionally nice jigged bone. Blade seats off center when closed, not bad at all & does not rub opening.Long pull opener. $270.
Fifth down from the top we have a Cocobolo Gunstock, with the fish shield. Very firm opening, blade closed is a bit off center, but does not rub. Action is a touch less than smooth, but this would be a great work knife. .4" closed & very creatively,John put a different material pin on the fish for an eye. Nice one here .. $260.
Sixth down is a super duty ,thick stock (1/8" !) curved jack with mammoth & Bullocks shield. Great heavy duty EDC. Blade centers perfect/closed,opening action is less than glassy smooth, probably will break in . Very nice for $250. !
Seventh from top,is a great slim jack with pinched bolster & mammoth ivory. It is 4" closed and has a nice smooth pull & action. Blade seats just off center a touch & when you open it,if you press hard it will rub,but if you are aware of it ,you can avoid that .Nothing around to be had, like it,for $260.
And finally at the bottom a smaller stag gunstock that is just about as perfect as you could ask in this price range (again, nothing around in this range to compare) About 3-5/8" closed & $280. is a steal!
A nice storage case is included with every knife here. Satisfaction on this is garaunteed by me,or your money promptly refunded
Thanks Once Again,
-Vince
