Anyone got a pic of a 901 Scimitar?
Next to a 119, 120, or 124 would be cool.

Interested in review comments of the 901 as a user as well.

Thanks...

Hi Goose,

901 as a user  . What are you going to use it for goose??? cutting the grass....your bush's...or maybe you just watched the movie 300....the 901 is a cool looking blade and will look nice with your herd....I think it would be just a bit heavy on your side and just mite get caught in your bikes tire :p :D ;)

LOL John...
I dunno...camping? That is why I was looking for a comparison pic and if anyone has one.
Certainly am concerned about the "function" aspect fo the trio (form, fit, and function).

Goose,
It is a tad larger than the 120 General... I have neither for a comparison pic, but have handled a couple of each. The scimitar looks alot bigger in online pics! It is a scaled down version of the real scimitar, I would guess maybe a half inch longer blade than a 120, and about the same length for the handle.
They are neat knives- for use I am unsure but would look awesome with the rest of your (I only collect 110) herd LOL :D
We look forward to pics when you get one!!!!

Thank Jim.
Wifey is asking what I want for my 50th next week,
So I'm thinking of the 901 or the new Kalinga. I have the Kalinga Chippy Buff but am looking for something to sport for those moments where you care to wear the very best...a semi-user.
Like we yakked about before....bar mitzvahs, ship commissioning, weddings, etc.

901 should be perfect for those occassions!!!

ill try to get a pic up in the next day or so goose but as wh4f says it is just a whisker larger than a 120
and if you remember it was mentioned before there are several versions
out there

If I can work the photobucket stuff correctly, here is a photo of the 119,
120, 124 and scimitar for your comparison.

Telechronos:)

Yep, Trax, I'll be looking for a fez too ;)

I'm bidding on one now...tell you in 3 hours if I got it... ;)

Sydney Greenstreet, eat your heart out!!! :D

All I could find was a 402 Akonua to compare to. I heard the camera adds a lot, might make the scimitar look bigger than normal....

Sure must be nice Joe! That "901" :D is awesome!
When is Buck going to make the full sized version in LE? 2008?

Goose,
You need to check out an older 124. They make great camp knives. The handles are much larger than the most recent version. and the blade is just the right size at 6 1/2 inches long. I'll try to get a comparison photo up for you.
Mike

Here's a photo of a new 124 chipflint and an older one from the early 80's
...Ya know Mike...If they ever went back to makin' 'em today like they did when they made that 124 from the 80's...I think I'd be gettin' into "fixed-blades"...

goose take it from me the old 124 cant be beet as a camp knife!!!
i recomend it most highly from personal use...
i have had one sence 71 and used it much both as dive knife and camping
it leaves some thing to desire as a dive knife but as a camp knife
wow .... the only one as good or better was one i made my self...
