A while back edctac had a contest and i was fortunate enough to win a piece of his handy work. He sent me one of his firesteel with a Zebrawood handle (I added the striker). He also threw in some waxed jute twine and some fat wood!. Since I've had the firesteel it has lived in my FPR BK-16 sheath pocket and has helped me start a few fires. I even used it in the Bear Gyrlls replacement challenge put on by Clich. Everytime I woke up to because the fire was out edctac's firesteel helped me get it going again and keep warm.
