A couple of UBB software questions for Spark...

Hi Spark,

I use a Mac with IE 5.0 and I've noticed that when I try and read topics over on Messerforum.net ( same software, same Version), a lot of the text is white and almost impossible to read. Have you ever had that problem? Here everything works fine.

I also use Netscape 4.74 on the Mac, and if I try and post an answer to any topic that uses a special character in the title, I can't post it. Gives an error message.

Any help or advice would be much appreciated! Thansk in advance.

Without knowing your settings, it's hard for me to diagnose your problem. I'm not having any problems with messerforum.net, and I'm using Netscape, but I'm on a pc.

Do you have a specific URL you could show me?

Hi Kevin. For your IE 5.0 problem, a work around is to go into your preferences under your edit menu, select web content under web browser prefs and uncheck the "allow page to specify colors" box, and click ok. The web master would have to do some adjustments on his end to really fix it.

you da man! That does work. Thanks a million. The webmaster at Messerforums.net has been killing himself over these problems and the German distributors of UBB haven't been able to give him much help. Messerforums is working it's way up to 70 members - a far cry from 7000! - I really appreciate your help help. Thank you very much.
