Hi,
I was wondering if there are any legal definitions of when a bladed object stops being a dagger and starts being a sword.
The reason I am asking is that it is legal to import a sword into New Zealand but is not legal to import a dagger. However, the law does not currently specify what the difference between the two is.
I realise that different rules exist in different locales, but was hoping people might be able to tell me what the situation is in their location so we could see if there was any consistent or viable definition that we could argue a case with.
Thanks for your help
