Please forgive my photography......I have not looked at these for ages so I thought I would post them....

Top: A Howard Hitchmough Loveless fighter

Middle: Andrew Frankland Fighter (retired South African maker)

Bottom: A David Broadwell hunter (I bet he does not make these anymore..:))

All purchased from the makers in the 80's..... They bring many memories...

Oooooh, that Howard Hitchmough is spectacualr!! I bet he isn't making THOSE any more either.

I have a number of Howard's fixed blades I will get them out of the safe in the next week or so and post them......

I first met Howard in London in '84.He was one of the last master instrument makers in the UK. That means he could take a piece of steel and forge it into a pair of forceps.A skill which no longer exists today in the UK.
The factory he worked at(the last of it's type) closed and moved production to the east so he left instrument making and he became one of only 2 full time custom makers in the UK. In those days he only made fixed blades and I have a fair number of his fighters..... It was only some years later that he began making folders.
Once he moved to the US he really was able to show his talents.

He is also one of the nicest people I have ever met..a true gentlemen....but you already know that.;)
