Good Day Gentlefolk,

Recently I have been reflecting on the time and energy I put into this internet knife thing.

And as I did so I started to contemplate all the people I have come to have some knowledge of here, at KnifeForums and all the other places, that we who appreciate knives congregate on the web.

Your contributions have been different and unique, but they were contributions nonetheless, and that is what it is about.

If only our eveyday lives were filled with this much harmony and peace.

So, Thanks.

Thanks for the scans, thanks for the reviews, thanks for the thoughts, thanks for the discussions, thanks for the comments, thanks for the jokes, thanks for the irony, thanks for the good deals.

You know the rest, you are the souls behind the details.

The word 'Thanks' doesn't seem to encompass the whole of the emotion I am feeling.

But it is the word I have.

Thanks. May all your days be good.

PS. Maybe someone could post a link to this over at KnifeForums, I am still banned.

I agree EYE, if only our daily lives were as "happy feeling" or on such a good note as life on the forums! If so, there would be much more harmony and peace in the world. As a prescription for happiness, those that don't have a computer (or access to one) or good quality knives, should find a way to get them into their lives. The world could only be a better place if we were all knife nuts!

MDP, right on the money, I like the Forums for it's many interesting and updating information, I only wish that the Search function could make it's debut back into our lives, there are a lot of repeating threads that would otherwise not occur if we could find the info we want. Thanks for everyone on the Forums, a lot of time and energy and thinking happen out here and it's appreciated to say the least!

Well said. When I joined the Blade Forum a few months ago, I did so on a lark, so to speak. However, I have learned a great deal and I feel as if I have met many friends here. The Blade Forums provide a forum to say what you think and ask what you wish without fear of retribution. As one who generally holds his cards close to his vest, I have enjoyed the freedom of the Blade Forums very much. It is therapeutic.

For 12 hours a day, 4 days a week, I man the Tech Control desk of a commercial airline company. I field 60 to 100 calls per day and each is, by nature, a problem or an emergency that requires immediate attention. The stress levels are very high. After a 4 day stretch, some de-compression is definitely in order.

The Blade Forum is where I come to unwind, kick back and enjoy some peace and solitude. I read, learn and share information with others who share my interests. I believe all who come here benefit in some way. We all have something to learn and something to give. We can be at ease, we are amoung friends.

I too want to thank all of you for being out there.

Marion David: Thank you for expressing my sentiments in such a heartfelt way. I have learned so much here, and hope that I have given some as well.

Willie Boy: It definitely is therapeutic. And a learning center. And a friends' hangout. 'Thanks' is such a simple but expressive word.

THANKS.
