A "new" way to carry my Mayo!

Now that I finally have a TNT it has become part of my daily carry in Central America. However, it is necessary to carry a ton of change down here because of the types of currency. That has meant the addition of a "change purse" to my daily carry as well.
In order to "kill two birds with one stone", I found a leather shop and had a wallet made that holds my TNT, a space pen, credit card, and has a zippered pouch for "monedas"! I Love it! It carries upright in my front pocket and keeps everything from banging around in my pocket. Hope ya like it!:D :D

That is neat Jason! Buy a bunch of 'em and sell them here! I'll take one! :)

You may want to have a BUNCH of those made up down there, and have them sold up here! You could probably get a realistic $25 each up here...

Hell, I'd buy two!

Mel

if they are good enough for Melvin and Gene they are good enough for the lowly Greek.
Great idea Jason.
Take care bro.
Best to you and your family

Cool Guys . . . had not thought about sending some up there but I will talk to the maker as soon as I can and find out about having some made. I'll let you guys know what happens.

BTW, hope you are doing well Gus . . . gonna miss seeing you guys at BLADE!!:(

...are you a leftie? That looks like a leftie pouch to me...

Could you have the maker reverse it, put the knife on the other side?

Looks cool! But,I really think you ought to pursue the design as proprietary...i.e., name it, quickly...and lock down the design as a J.Burns exclusive...

Mel

Mel,
Nope, I am a righty but usually carry this in my left pocket and my keys in the right. That is why I did it this way. It really rides pretty much vertically in the pocket so the knife can be removed easily when it is in either pocket. Oh no, now I sound like a commercial!

OK, This is the NEW "Gentleman's Knife Wallet" officially designed and commissioned by Jason Burns!  ;)

I'll try to go today to see about having some more of these made up with a couple of MINOR improvements.

Alright, I went and placed an order for a dozen of these today. I am going to get them to a few folks and see what they think. I will post as soon as I have them. I am checking into what "export" restrictions might exist so the first ones of these will be "gifts" . . . some of those people who recieve these "gifts" just so happen to be sending "gifts" to my parents in the states.;) ;) ;)
That will let me send some of these until I can find out the issues of sending more. I had really not planned on having a bunch of these made but will be happy to send some stateside!
I will come back and email you guys when I have them.
Thanks for the ideas!:D :D :D

Outstanding Jason!

Once you get them in and figure out a fair price, email us to let us know where to send the check, er, 'gift'... ;)

And, being that you're limited on the quantity that you can ship, I'll be a 'sport' and just take one for now...unless you find less than 10 interested parties, then I'll take the balance... :D

Yes, they would make great gifts!

Now, I'm not a business man, I'm a DOD funded engineer, and I wouldn't have a clue on how to market such an item...but I bet someone like A.G. Russell would... ;)

Andy's a pretty swell fellow, and won't take you for a 'ride'...why don't cha send him an email and some pics...you might really be onto something here Jason!

I hope so! Again, "Cool Beans!"

Mel

Oooohhhhh, this is nice! If you can, count me in for two also, Jason! Do you want us to email you for particulars?

Hank:cool:

WOW! I am surprised at the interest! OBVIOUSLY the ones I ordered today are already "spoken for"! I will call the leathermaker tomorrow and check on upping the order.
Since the first one was just based on what I wanted, I learned that at least one improvement would be good. Here is a sketch of the revised design. The credit card portion will be diagonal. This is to make it easier to slide the knife in without snagging.
I had this made based on my medium TNT and it is proportioned based on another change wallet. I have tried it on my Mayo, my small DDR EDC, my Marker, V'noxes, and WH Lancet. It will hold all the small to medium knives I have tried. (It rides vertically in the pocket.) I will be anxious to get some feedback from you guys once I can get some of these to the states!
Thanks for the great responses!

Since this has changed from just a "gallery" image, I will post in another forum since this thread changed from my original intent!

How are you doing bud????

Hope it aint too warm for you...........and watch OUT for the snakes (slithery kind and the two footed kinds)

Jason,

Awesome concept! Count me in for one. Tell me where to send the cash ans it's on its way.

How do I get one of these Nicaraguan Knife Nests?? ;) That's just the kind of little pouch I like to carry, but I never had one with its own protection built in!

Hopefully I will be able to post in "gadgets and gear" or "what's new" next week about how these will be available. Since I originally did not intend to produce these in bulk, we are now having dies made to be able to produce the quantity ordered. I will try not to get kicked out of the country too!;)
You guys are great and I will get these out ASAP . . .:D:D

please feel free to email me directly if you have specific questions
