A pair of ugly knives!

Have you ever worked on a knife or knives for so long you just get sick of them? Thats what happened to me with these. I started working on 4 of these. In the process I have made two extra blades, three extra lock side liners, and 3 sets of handle scales, not to mention at least 2 complete sets of screws for each folder. I finished them a night or two ago after 6 months of effort. I know they are ugly with a capital UGH but I just can't mess with them anymore.

So where's the ugly ones? I know what you mean about gettin sick of workin on some knives. I try to give em a break and do something else until I'm back in the mood. Sometimes the wait is pretty long.
 
I don't see any ugly knives, thay look ok to me, in
my experence the repeted making of parts goes with
making folding knives. The knives are fine. Gib
 
one of the things i have learned L-6 is to let others deside if there ugly. i had one once that i was not going to put on the table. it was the first knife sold and the new owner left it with me while he was enjoying the show. i could have sold it about three more times that day.:D
 
I love that phrase, Michael, but I don't think it applies to those knives. I agree that you should let others decide for themselves. They look damn fine to me!:)

Those really are some pretty ugly knives! What "I" would do with them would be to put them in a drawer to keep the roaches out! As a matter of fact, you could send just one of those down to your ole buddy Craig in Texas right away. With the weather getting warm and all, well you know how bad the bugs get on the Gulf coast. It must have something to do with the humidity, I don't know.

I just remembered that my "chest o' drawers" has 5 drawers so do you think I would need one for each drawer? I already have a couple of my ugly knives in two of the drawers so if you have maybe three or so that would more than suffice. Now there is a chest in the living room that has six drawers so hey, whatever you feel like sending.

Now I would never show anyone else or use your ugly knives and they would always stay put. "I promise". :)

By the way, I tried just printing a picture of the knives and putting them in there already. It didn't work. I believe I need the actual knife! I hope they work better than that wimpy dursban stuff!

Maybe thats what I will do, rat hole em for a month or two and maybe they'll start lookin better.

Michael, they look fine to me also. My only question would be about the handle material, ain't that stuff usually reserved for "art Knives"? ;)
 
They do just make you sick. Why don't you enter them in the ugly knife contest. I'm sure they will beat me!:rolleyes:
