Does anyone have, or can anyone tell me where I can see a pic of, one of the new Calypso Jnrs.

I have one of the grey ones and I EDC it almost every day and now I'd like to see one of the new ones before I order one. For some bizarre reason i can't seem to find a pic.

I reckon these things would have to be the best value for money small knives on the market!

I happened to know they had a good picture there. I couldn't get Google's image search to find a single picture of it, even with a model number. Weird.

Yep, and NGK don't have it on their website and even more strangely I couldn't find it on the Spyderco site!

They have both it and the recent VG10 model, but for some reason it isn't on their "jump to" model list. You have to click on the link for that update on the front page.

I bought mine from newgraham, but their picture isn't so good.

Ah yes, I guess I need to be a little more patient and/or persistent with my searches! :o

Yet another knife to spend my hard earned on ......

It's worth it. This knife is really good. If you don't have one of these, you're missing something. :)

Someone in the Camillus forum didn't like it, but I don't see why. It's a really handy design.

I guess you are talking about me. Sorry, but I already have one and I love it. I was just implying that it should have been made with their better models like maybe a Lum chinese, a Walker, etc. With a blade like a ZDP-189 it's a knife to own forever and the Calypso is just not my favorite design but"beggars can't be choosers". Although I am starting to appreciate it. :D

The world would be a pretty boring place if everyone liked the same thing!

I love my new Calypso Jr. However, my daughter has been using it so it may soon be her knife. ;)

Hi Dannyv,

While the Caly jr was not as popular as the Delica, it was more popular than either the Walker or the Chinese folder.

When we make a model promoting an exotic steel, we try to select a model that will appeal to the largest number of people.

Sorry, Sal! I am sure you made the right decision and sales does show it. I did get one for myself and is now my edc. Honestly, the next expected model ,the Delica, is just too similar to the Calypso. As you know peolple have been buying the Calypso at discounted prices and I am sure that should you use the blade in a more expensive knife people would still buy it as your products are great! A framelock Lum chinese folder,WOW!! :D :foot:

I think the Calypso would probably be my favourite Spyderco, certainly as far as looks go, I EDC it every day at work. Almost perfect "office knife".

I have noticed though that the depth of the blade, (spine to edge), makes it difficult to cut in a circular motion such as in removing the core from an apple quarter or similar. A small enough complaint and certainly outweighed by it's other positive features.
