Well just got a new DC, so off to take pictures of the pile of junk that I have to clear off the bed ;)

A closer look at the pile reveals something peeping up.

Though through the crappy photography skills of me what is peeping up cant be properly discerned. So a little close I go.

Ah yes its my WWII K that said to me when it arrived, turn me into something else.

More pics when I get the hang of this DC. Hopefully daylight will help.

First time taking pics, Im hoping theyll get better later on, but then again.... :p all the fumes from the dumpster may have caused some permanent damage:D

More pics, this time daylight instead of artificial flourescent lights. Still cant get a hang of the focus. But I guess its just a matter of practice. Without further ado, more pics of junk :D

Thank you, I carved the handles a while back, and posted some real bad pics when it was rough carved. At the time there was no top knots, but I figured it would look better with some top knots. Since I got a new DC, I figured its time for an update on progress. Not quite done, but almost done finishing. Just a few more coats and it will be perfect, just a few more coats and it will be perfect, just a few more coats and it will be perfect....;):D

Sorry Bruise ready ate the half a sandwich and pizza crusts I found in the dumpster :D What do you want pics of?

Fed -
I've wanted to ask what happened to your carving ever since your first pics. Be careful - you may have already given the Newari carvers a complex :D
I would be very happy to do the finishing absolutely free of charge - I'll even pay postage......getting them back might be another story, however

Thanks for the offer Wal, but I think I got the finishing aspect handled for now :D I am real happy with how it turned out. Though the wood was already beautifully grained, and it probably would have looked great un-carved. Now if you wanted something carved out I got a real nice block of ebony that all wanting to be carved.

Bruise you asked for pics of the good stuff, and like a good pizza boy I deliver :D

A good block of ebony and some TP, two tree products that a woodchuck cant live without   :D

Federico, that is some nice wood. Wouldn't mind having a Khukuri handle made out of that.:)

Is that Purex? It is less abrasive on the buttocks than the other leading brands.

I prefer Sharmon, unless a Marlyn borrows it to TP my car again.:D

That block of ebony is destined to be hilts of one or more knives. Ready got one person requesting a kris hilt. Still gotta figure out what else Ill make out of it. It would make a good AK hilt. Anyways its a real good block of Ebony. A dense solid black 2x4 17" long, and it was free :D

Forgot to add, its Charmin, and like the Ebony it was free :D Twas a wonderful Xmas   :D

For sure if that's junk I'm going to start checking dumpsters every chance I get.:D
