Excellent! I’ll be counting the days ‘til I get my hands on one of these babies. Are you still planning on including the leather/rawhide wrap on the bottom portion of the handles for the RR Spike ‘Hawks?

Jim

The throw testing resulted in the wrap loosening after a few solid "thunks", so if a customer wants lanyard, we will ship it separately.

U.J.;

If you want leather on your handle maybe you should try sewing on some rawhide. Put it on wet and let it dry and I don't think it will come off. You can get some nice cheap rawhide at the local "doggy store". Those rawhide treats when soaked in hot water will open up to a nice piece of leather ready to sew and let dry. I use the same rawhide to sew caps over my leather sheaths to help prevent the blade tips from comeing through...seems to work great on my home made Cold Steel Trailmaster sheath and my Ka-Bar sheath.

Very nice finished product. Hats off to everyone at American Tomahawk!

I seem to remember something about pine tar working wonders for grips on wooden sticks.

Any baseball fans out there remember this?

Andy,

Excellent job so far -- congrats on the new venture! I'm certain it will be successful, not only because of the product line, but also because you are behind it. I have to say, as a wilderness AND history buff, I've never been this excited by a new offering...

Looking forward to trying out the spike hawk for some hunting and wilderness construction in Idaho, then the mountains of Chile this year!

All the Best,

Brian.

Brian...just let me know when you want one my man!!! Would love to get some feedback on its use from you! Give me a shout offline.

Thanks for your encouragement,

Great looking pieces Andy!

Most everyone here probably knows Andy, but for those who don't I will say this: You have not experienced customer service until you have dealt with Andy Prisco. The guy is no bullsh*t, and is truly old school. His word is good as gold.

Send a couple this way, Andy.

Then, get out and rock the world with this stuff, okay?
