Please do not take the following as a MAJOR criticism. Im not trying to crack on you or start anything here. I merely wish to voice my disappointment with the decision not to include the Rat Shaker, or some other neck knife, in the regular Swamp Rat product line. I am not opposed to exclusive deals for those customers who are able and willing to come and support your company. I merely am disappointed that in this particular area (i.e. neck knives) the vast majority of your customer base has been left out. I seem to remember that there was a lot of support for a Swamp Rat neck knife. I know I certainly voted for that to be added to the product line. I have moved to a particularly restrictive area where the local knife laws have made it impossible for me to carry anything in Swamp Rats regular line. Even though I would like to support the company by purchasing their products, it does me no good to have a great knife in the safe if I cant use that great knife in my daily life. I live where I could really use a small fixed blade of good quality for everyday chores. If I wanted something to sit in the safe, quite frankly, Id buy a Busse AD and just leave it at that, but instead Id like something I can USE. I was hoping that Swamp Rat would come out with something like the AS so that I can purchase good quality without the hefty price. I carry a TOPS street scalpel because its bigger than most other pocket-sized fixed blades and I can at least pry with it when I need to without worrying if its going to break. Id RATHER carry a product like the Rat Shaker which has better lines, is better contoured, and is less likely to be seen by an LEO as some kind of prison shiv! I wouldnt even mind if you changed the design to keep the original Rat Shaker a collectors item. Kudos on the new D2 line-up, and Im sure that you will have tremendous success with these knives. Kudos even on the original line-up- which is still a killer product at a great price; just P_L_E_A_S_E consider producing something in a neck knife so I can get rid of certain other objects in my daily carry list.
