I recently picked up a couple of knives from A.T. Barr that he had on his website. I have to say that I am extremely impressed with the level of fit and finish that goes into his knives. He is easily comparable to Kit Carson or Terzoula when it comes to finish. I also like his concept of making knives that designed to ride in the pocket instead of on clips. Although I like clips, have to admit that his knives do sort of disappear in the pocket. Especially a small, bolsterless, micarta scaled wharncliffe with a 2 15/16" blade. This makes one heck of a gents knives or EDC for office work. Guys, if you haven't checked out A.T.'s website, you need to do it soon.
 
A.T. is one of the many good guys in my book too.
 
I am hoping to pick up a folder on order when he gets to the SOS at the end of the month. (Hope to see you there A.T. !) The ones I have had in my hands have been great.

As an aside, IIRC Kit showed A.T. alot about knifemaking so the comparison is apt in my mind.

Yeah, I have your blade back from Paul Bos. I will
do my best to have it ready for you in Mesquite.

Kit really helped me out on how to make liner locks. I had been making knives about 15 years when I first visited his shop.

Really looking forward to checking out A.T.'s table at SECKS. Probably be my first stop, right after they open the doors on Saturday morning.
 
A.T. is absolutely first rate. One of my (if it means anything) most highly rated makers I've had the pleasure to deal with. He rally cares about his knives with a passions and committs 100% to customer service.

I bought one, have another on order. And have fast built an e-mail/telephone friendship with him. I really cannot put into words my geniuine love for the guy.

A.T. you are da man!
