This morning as I was poking around in the forums on my computer, my wife walked into the room wrapped in a towel (she's so cute, even at 59 years old - sigh!) with a pair of my socks in her hand!
Bear with me - this is not pornography!
The socks were tucked one inside the other, so I don't go off with one blue sock, and one black one - yeah, it's happened!
She comes around into my field of view - yummy! ahem . . . . .and extracts a knife from within the socks!! Not just any knife, but a Tony Bose Wharncliffe Trapper!
Man, my heart leapt!! She needed some rugged socks today, so borrowed an old pair of mine which led to her discovery. She tucked the knife back in for dramatic effect, and dramatic it was.
As I was rushing off to catch a plane in early September for our vacation, I remembered the WT in my pocket, and not wanting to trust the airlines in any way, ran back in the house, and tucked it out of sight, in the most unlikely spot for a would be thief. And promptly forgot where. I also forgot to bring my cellphone.
I have torn the house apart many times, between bouts of depression looking for that darn knife! I finally broke my silence, and told Tony about it last weekend. Thing is, it's just a knife, but it's A) a T. Bose, and B) I carried that knife all the time! Except on vacation. Except for the last 3-4 months.
My life has changed! The sky is brighter, the birdsong is sweeter! (yes, they are still around, out here on the left coast!).
And my wife is beautiful . . . . .as always!!

Fantastic news!

You need to post some pictures to show how a Bose does after months in the dark.

Glad you got her back, Charlie. Tony is probably making you another, so I'll take the old one off of your hands.

My family has gotten used to the "code red knife alerts" when I misplace a knife.

Oh my. I'm really glad you finally got it back. I know how you must've felt.

Congrats on the reunion Charlie. We all sympathize as I'm pretty sure every one here has lost a valued knife. I don't know what I'd have done if I lost a Tony Bose though. (Probably curl up into a ball and become mute)

Charlie show us the T.B. and the K.K. you are soaking it should be getting oiled up real good by now!!

All's well that ends well!
What would we do without the fair sex to keep us in line.:D

Congratulations Charlie! I am sure it is good to have that knife back. (wish my wife would walk into the room with a Bose knife in her hand!)

Say hello to that old friend and cherish him
Mates are like gold dust, wives are made from pure gold make sure you give her a big kiss
Pockets should feel normal again, after a 3 -4 month pause

Well done

Her pair of binoculars went missing. Several months passed and at least once while having car talk, you know those deep relationship communications that occurr while you are driving somewhere together, I mentioned she must have left them somewhere on one of our nearby adventures. Well, I had a couple of cardboard boxes against the wall under my knife photo table and a couple of weeks or so ago I was down retrieving something dropped and happened to raise the lid and oops there they were in some knife stuff I clean up off the desk.....its been rough but I am about even after two weeks.....

Dang...I wish you would have told us about this earlier so we could have harrassed you and made you feel worse :D

...awww heck....we should just go ahead and make you feel bad now! :p

You'll have to try hard to make me feel bad today, Kerry!
Here she be, cradled by some of the old trade beads I've collected over the years, for her Rescuer!!:D

Hint; it helps the homecoming, when you've been away for days at a knife show yukking it up with the boys, to have some nice trinkets in your pocket!
:D

I couldn't help but get this image when I read your story.
