A Target idea

Has anyone tried throwing knives at a foam, self sealing archery target? If so, how's the penetration and does the knife quickly destroy the target?

Yes I have used both and found that with my lighter sets either held ok for a bit, but the heavier knives rapidly destroy anything you use except rounds of good wood. But for shuriken or light darts the foam backer is great.
