I read in a thread a while ago in which Sal asked about possible features for a Spyderco Scout knife. Did I miss any news on that? I think the BSA could really benefit from a high quality, American made knife.

I have not heard anything about this project in quite some time. I saw no prototypes of it at Blade this year. I too think it would be great whether is is Golden or Seki made.

As a former scout, I'd LOVE to see the BSA fleur-de-lis on a Spyderco knife. But what model? Or some new model altogether?

I remember a thread about a possible scout knife on one of the forums. But I think it was just talk, not even a R & D project. It sounds like a good idea, but if I remember the thread right, it didnt sound like a feasible idea.
The scouts have certain requirements about size, shape etc of knives
Anyway I think it was just talk, thats all.
good knife hunting

We got a great deal of very good input from two forums. It's on the project list. It's a bit more complicated so the R&D time hasn't been there yet. We'd like to get another Dyad in the works first to iron out the multi-blade thing.

I would dearly love a new dyad, either full sized or 3/4 size.

I would kill for zdp189 for plain edge, maybe vg10 or s30v for serrated edge, contoured silver g10 scales w/polished silver clip like the one on the ss cricket
.
I have the micarta mini dyad & love it, but would prefer the knife about a inch longer.
