account removed at spyderco forums?

I got an email saying "Unfortunately your registration at Spyderco Forums did not meet our membership requirements. Therefore your registration was deleted."

What are these requirements?

You have to confirm your email address for one. If you didn't ever reply to the initial email they sent asking for that it will come back to get you sometimes this way.

First, let me say that I in no way speak on behalf of Spyderco in any capacity, official or otherwise.

That being said, it is my understanding that in an effort to reduce trolling and other undesirable behaviour on the aforementioned forum, all new users undergo a certain amount of scrutiny from Spyderco administration prior to being allowed to post. For whatever reason, something about your registration has probably raised a red flag, such as previous trolling from your IP address or the possible attempt by an existing member to register under a different user ID, potentially for the sake of creating intentional dischord.

Should you feel that neither of these situations apply, I might suggest contacting TazKristi at Spyderco to query exactly why your account request was denied. Her e-mail is khunter@spyderco.com.
