I know this is going to sound like a dumb ?, but is the Accusharp any good. I saw that it got good reviews. I'm just looking for something to sharpen a couple of kitchen knives that have gotten dull over the past 4 years, nothing fancy. These same exact knives are sold at Wally World (they come as a set of 5 with a cutting board, made by Alco Industries, but suprisingly found them to be very good and are used the most in the kitchen). Thank you.

Don't worry about a question seeming stupid. We all asked the same ones at one time or another. It will work OK on the knives you described, but I would never use it on anything of a higher quality. Those type of sharpeners usually work OK on softer types of steel but will tear up a higher quality harder steel.
