Active Duty Blade Finishes?

I just saw an ad for the Active Duty in the latest Blade Magazine and it looks as if it may come in a "Tactical" finish as well as a "Satin" finish. The Busse website does not give this information. So, I was just wondering if this is true, then what are the differences between these two finishes?

I looked at the ad but I have no idea if they are making any this way:confused: You may want to check with the shop on this one. (let us know what you find out)

The Tactical finish is a bead blasted, non glare finish. You may also see it refered to as "double cut" (more than one media is used).

The satin finish is more of a buffed, shiny finish.
 
Did anybody ever get any solid info on this? I would like to see a double cut Active duty. Maybe with the Combat Mofo micarta?
 
I spoke to the folks at Busse and they said the satin finish has the zero edge and the tactical finish has a regular V grind. According to them, the satin finish comes on the snakeskin nukarta handle and the tactical finish comes on the grey micarta handle. The Busse website is confusing, as it says they both come with the satin finish, so I guess I will trust the info I got when I called them directly.

Click on the Busse Combat Web site and, then choose the "knives" button. The prices and specs should be there.

Welcome back darlin'. Yeah, the oatmeal was a mess. And, yes, I cleaned it up myself. My wife wouldn't even help me up from the floor. There I was, laying on the floor, oatmeal bowl upside down on my chest, dog licking my face, and the only aid she offered was a kick in the ribs as she stepped over me...:grumpy: ;)

Darned skunks... :p

Oh... and while I have your ear, prod Jerry for me until he answers my e-mail... re: protos:D
