As I'm sure readers of this form realize, the AKTI was formed several months ago in response to increasing legislative pressures against knife ownership, use & carry. I know little about them except that their board contains some representitives from the major production knife companies. I'm not sure if it contains other individuals or custom makers. Is this organization truly to protect our rights to carry & use knives in a responsible fashion, or are they more self serving looking to protect their financial interests in knife sales. How is the AKTI organized? Do members have voting rights? Should knife collectors & users belong?
