Have a look at the day's (and week's) progress:

Everything that's going be glued-up IS glued-up now. :D

I think I'll get some rest this weekend. :foot:

By the way...I hope I'm not setting a bad precedent for myself!!!

You guys will think I'm capable of putting out 50+ knives a week...

Don't need no internet rumors started...

Just let this be proof that I DID indeed carefully plan out this "mid-tech" run to work quickly and smoothly...and for the most part it has. There was some "learning curve" on a few things...but I think it has gone very well...and I'm very pleased with the results.

And yes, the sheaths came in today as well....wahoo!!!

Should have these ready to go by Tuesday/Wednesday at the latest!!!

(It'll take me all day Thursday just to do shipping....:foot: )

You are a machine!
Can I ask you a question? How many hours in an average week have you been putting in on this project? I find it remarkable that you can get so much done.

It's a secret...:D

Like I said...I've set things up to allow me to progress quickly...and I learned from the best - Tom Krein!

note: the last pic is from yesterday at the end of the day...all I did today was glue-up....but, by golly....it was a LOT of gluing....I think 52....:o

Very impressive Dan. I'm just happy you are making progress up the list towards my blade. I hope you get the rest you need, and those boys get to see Dad awhile.

Yeah dude. As much as we all want our knives, we also don't want you killing yourself in the process. Who'll make us more knives, if you fall apart?

Of course!

Just too tired to take pics...:D :(

The "just glued up" ones got profiled...and the others were sandblasted.

Tomorrow:

Rough shape and finish the handles & sandblast.

So, is that the last step before shipping out the second batch? If so, this will be a great week for me, there are 4 knives inbound! :D

I'll need another day to etch and sharpen...and double checking things, etc.

Don't forget...the 1st batch was a monster...at 36 knives...

This one is practically MT EVEREST at 111 knives left to finish!!!!!

This is quite incredible Dan. Even though my current order is outside of the Bushcraft phenomena, I appreciate the dedication you are giving to your project.
When do you start back to teaching? Are you taking any courses this semester yourself?

I have to second these statements. This has been amazing and inspiring. Thanks for offering to the do this and delivering on your promises.

There is a purple NOS in the fridge...but it's not mine!! :(

There might be a sudden "disappearance" tomorrow....:D  :p
