I was looking for a new knife to get when the Case Dark Red Bone Congress in CV caught my eye. Case CV is my top 3 favorite steels! I bought it and it's on the way. It made me say to myself...... Hey! I have one like this. It was the knife I think I have had the longest. Maybe 20 or 25 years. So I found it put a good edge on it and started carring it. I love that I can pinch it open at work for a quick slice with the sheepsfoot blade (makes the best utility blade) I hope I can pinch my new Case Sheepsfoot like that also.

Do any of you know the origin and ballpark date of my 2 blade Congress? I don't like the plastic handles, other than that it's a sweet knife. I can't wait for my Case to arive! Thanks for looking. :D

Beautiful Red Bone!

Even the plastic handle on that Buck Creek isn't so bad, but it sure can't touch that Red Bone.

Two blade is an excellent pattern, but seems to be scarce.
That Redbone will contrast well with some patina (not bad shiny either!)

My new one! I love CV!!!!! Can't wait to put nice edges on this one.
Nice knife! I've got one just like it in my collection. Generally, I'm more a fan of the Trapper pattern, but something about this knife just really appealed to me.

Closed leanth is 3.5 in.

It sure is a nice one. I can pinch the main sheepsfoot blade open, much to my liking.

My closest antique store had a sale today and with my new interest in the Congress pattern I saw this.It has alll it's snap left too. It is a Queen. 3.5 inches closed.

Your pictures have convinced me that a Case Congress is a pattern I will be getting.

A good looking knife.
The grind of the main spear blade.
The long nail nicks
The jigging of the bone looks really good
And in CV!!!

What nail nicks does the spear have? Long or cresent?
