I picked up some Amboyna Burl this spring and had to fine folks at K&G stabilize it for me. I got back some pretty impressive wood...so I had to make a bowie.
This Bowie/Fighter has a 5 1/2" hand-rubbed blade of 5160 high carbon, spring steel with a long false top bevel and a full distal taper (10 1/4" total length). The contoured guard and pin are nickle-silver. The handle is stabilized Amboyna Burl wood with an obsidian throat and black spacer. The knife is shown with a carved "lion's head" blade sheath and tooled belt loop by Tess.
Thanks.
