I'm not sure if I'm on my own here, but I keep all my old knife mags going back about 7 years and I was always going back and re-reading articles about Emerson and his knives and decided to cut out all the articles and pictures and put them in a folder so they're all together. I've also added info from his website and these forums. Overall, I have a great wealth of info on hand and enjoy reading through it from time to time. I'd be surprised if no-one else has not done this.

I would really like Emerson to get together with someone like the way Sal Glesser did over at Spyderco and put a comprehensive book together which would include a complete history of Emerson and his knives with heaps of pics and stories behind how each knife was developed. I know I would buy a copy.

If any of you feel the same way, join me here and I'll make sure all our wishes are passed on to EKI.

I also keep all my old knife mags (Blade, Tactical Knives) and I refer to them often for info, or just to re-read a favorite article. I think an Emerson book would be cool.

Peter,
you've got my vote

You have another vote from me.

BTW is this voting form and question clear enough for John to understand?

Hey, hey, hey. Let's leave me out of this Mister. Just for the record I live in Brevard County Florida. My county recounted and came out spot on. Not one vote plus or minus.

Not only did I vote, I knew exactly who I was voting for and only marked one.

John (who's a little sensitive right this second)

Me too. Now I can finally justify to my wife why I have kept so many magazines over the years. It is nice to know I do not suffer alone with my condition...

p.s. I was eighteen the first time I voted, on a butterfly ballot, and had no problems!!! Yet we are supposed to understand the tax system???

My only word on this matter would be that "they" don't seem to have a problem running fifty BINGO cards at one time, but can't punch a freakin' hole with a huge arrow pointing to it. 'Nuf said.

As to the magazine articles in book form. It it's a collection of magazine articles your looking for, may I suggest the ones on the Emerson site. Most people may not know their there. Link Only problem is, they don't have the pictures on-line.

If it wasn't a copyright issue, we could add the articles to the gallery. But that's not an issue I think we want to bridge.

There is a book out there that every Emerson fan should have a copy of. "Tactical Knives" by Tomo Hasegawa is an awesome collection of Emerson stuff. Only problem is, it's written in Japanese and is pretty hard to find a copy in some areas.

John, I'd like to see a genuine book, not just collated articles. I would love to hear all the inside info on how all the knives came into being from the man himself. Plus all the reasons for each design and step by step photos on how he makes them.

On the voting fiasco........only in America.
Bush can't have had anything to do with the dodgy ballot papers - He fell out of a stupid tree and hit every branch on the way down.

Cheers
Peter

I happen to know that this exact proposal was made to Ernie some time ago - before EKI was started. I believe it was not pursued because there was a feeling that the book should come after more, or most, of the story had already occurred. Obviously a young man, there is much more to go before the Emerson story has taken its course.
