My son and I were eating breakfast together this morning and I had my Arete and sheath sitting at the table (to remind me to pack it in my BOB today) and here is what was said:

Lambert: "Daddy, did you make that sheath?"

Me: "Yeah"

L: "Do you get to keep that sheath?"

M: "Yes, this one was for me, I don't have to ship this one."

L: "Do you like that sheath?"

M: "Yes, I like it - what do you think of it?"

L: "I think it is cool. I like the knife."

M: "Yeah? You think it looks nice?"

L: "Yeah, I like that one the best - it looks cool!"

My son, who has a touch of Autism, never offers what he thinks is cool unprompted, and he rarely thinks something 'looks nice' as that really doesn't matter to him.

So, Andy, you have the Lambert seal of approval! I had to share.

Here is a picture of him - Bottom Right:

That is cool Jason:thumbup: Glad to hear the little guy is showing an interest in both your work and Andy's knives:D

Yeah, I am really proud of him. We have been working with his diet and supplements to help his Autism - and I would say, most days, he has no symptoms of the disorder. He tries REALLY hard and is really smart. I love the little guy.

Man, you were right. I really did love that story. I'm almost done with Jack's Arete, and I'd like to say it looks pretty damn sweet. A smidge slimmer handled version of yours. Jack, if you need it fat as snot, let me know. Also, I've just wacked the gorgeous handle off the first convex one too. The grinder got away from me on that one, so I just started over. Gonna be cool.

My man.....

Andy, I've got XL hands and prefer a full-sized handle. I don't know what that means in this instance. The knife handle I like the feel of best is on a Gossman Tusker which is definitely fat as snot. At the same time, I'm fairly adaptable, so I don't know how to advise you. If it's got some heft, it'll probably be fine.

I'll re-do yours Jack. This is for a normal sized manbeast. No biggie, its incredibly important for me to get yours right. But whomever gets it is gonna be lovin it.
