Hello!

I need some help : does one of you know if "angels' knives" exist?
I have to translate that into French for my graduation paper and I have never heard of this kind of knives. That's why I need specialists' help...
Hope you will be able to answer my question!
Thanks in advance.

swanan, welcome to Bladeforums! You, too, Tao_Shan! It's always good to see new people around.

swanan, what is the context of these "angels' knives"? Are they a fictional item or supposed to be real world? I've never heard of anything like them.

Hi Tao Shan
Whereabouts are you from? I'm a Geordie myself - be nice to chat with a local knife nut.

Phil

Once upon a time, before he could no longer work, Hugh Bartrug, Master of Ashley Forge, created “Michael’s Sword”.

Look on his work, and smile. If you ever get the chance, try to find a better picture with more of the amazing and beautiful detail.

Why ya bugger man! Whitley Bay meself.
What are you into knifewise? I'm pretty much a Spyderco man myself.
Feel free to mail me if it's easier than using the forum.

Off to the Black Horse tonight - Cheers!

Phil - take a look in British Blades Although it is quite informative in here, British Blades is more geared to us in the UK. Also, if you ain't done so already, take a look at Mike Harrison's British Knife Collectors' Guild , especially the Spyderco section. If you don't see what you're after there, he will get it for you on a pound for dollar (or better) basis.

I'm a Field knife man... simple, yet practical and tough.

Nice to know 'I'm not alone'!

Hello!
Thanks for trying to help me.
This is the part of the book I have to translate :
"Sometimes this new ringing in her ears changes pitch, as now, and turns into a high silvery singing noise with a squeak to it like the edge hysteria gives a voice, or like the sharpening of angels' knives, stainless, at high speed."

It looks like it referring to any knife that an angel may own and not any particular kind of knife... Sorry!
