Anniversary Knife Poll, sort of...

Given that we have just seen a variation on the Battle Mistress and now the Badger (apparently with a Tank Buster to follow), what does everyone think the Busse Anniversary Knife will be? To me, I would guess that it will be a variation on something that has been an integral part of Busse history to this point. I don't think it will be something completely new or untested (from a marketing standpoint), but rather a variation on something that already has a huge following. My guess is going to go to the venerable Steel Heart with a double cut finish and maybe even a straight handle. Just my .02. What does everyone else think?

SH1!!!! DC in INFI!

(with black/tan g10?? ;) The lighter black/tan, please?)

I have to go with the FSH, it would be nice to get straight handles as an option for the Steel Heart, but I think the anniversary knife has to be a Steel Heart. I think that the logo is the clue, the FSH is what defines Busse Combat, it is fitting that annaversary knife would be one.

Just my two cents.
As far as what I want to see, it's already for sale.

Its got to be a INFI SH1, nothing else feels like it in the hand. If you have felt one, you know what I mean, if you haven't, you haven't experienced a Busse knife yet!

Go, Ducci, go!!!

I have been trying, although not killing myself, to get an SHSH and have pretty much gone nowhere. Now I am not ordinarily superstitious, but after so many failed attempts, I am beginning to take those failures as one big giant clue that maybe I need to wait for that Anniversary Knife. In other words, I am being told that my SH will come in another way, and hopefully sooner rather than later. Rest assured, if the Anniversary Knife is an SH-1, I will all over it like a hungry hog on slop!!!;)

What is the general concensus on the anniversary date? Sometime this year?

I want it to be a SH I in INFI as well. However, the handle desperately needs to be half an inch longer. The rear talon hole projection prevents the use of a good saber grip in my hands. Perhaps a fusion or SF handle on it would be better.

One of these days I'm going to work up enough courage to get the rear talon projection ground off one of mine, and make a user of it.

If you are looking for a SH-1 in INFI with the SF handle just buy a SFNO.
If you want the talon hole ground off a SH-1 offer to trade your's to Ducci for the one he just did.

I don't know about the SH1..never held one, but my BB(less)SHSH is probably the most comfortable handle I ever held. That picture Paddling Man pulled up with the 10" blade is about as perfect as you can get in my book....but I just love choppers!

I agree. But maybe also with HOG options for a Satin or DC finish and custom scales.

If not different combos, how about Jerry's choice? Looking at the variant page I posted yesterday, I'm quite certain I will be happy with ANYTHING he creates. Maybe we could sign up for an Anniversary knife, numbered, but all are just a little different from one another. Sort of like the Vegas Prize knife SH-E variants were?

Just a thought!

I'll be happy with a run-of-the-mill SH1 in INFI, too! ;)

Hey Mike, you mean something like the middle one?

Smewhat like that, but I would take about half of that remaining stub off at the rear, and leave the lanyard hole.

How about a four inch blade and slightly longer handled Game Warden DC with black and tan G10 (could come with an anniversary hogtag)!:D
