Annual Sebenzas turn up from time to time with a swedge grind. It seems to have been more common on the 2011s than on the knives from prior years, but I haven't been able to find any information about how often it was done. Does anyone know?

Here are a few pictures of the large 2010s -- spalted maple and camphor -- with swedge grinds. The last picture is the clearest shot of the swedge grinds themselves.

My 2010 Maple is also a swedge, plus it has double lugs.

One of my ROF's is a double lug also.

Beutiful knives you got there, BTW.

Thank you. I've been delinquent in posting pictures of them.

Was the double lug original to the RoF or added later?

My only double lug is a large with mammoth inlays, presently recuperating at the spa.

I don't now, probably added later. My favorite of my Night Sky's, the Regular with Paua Shell cab is also a DL. I've got several with DL's.

I think they were just an option that wasn't made very often, but it seems to show up more in the later years of the annuals. Here is a picture of a 2010 that I used to own:

I have a 2002 ironwood with a swedge at home, I wish they still offered it!

The return of a great thread from last year. LW, glad to see fresh pictures of your maple. Looks great!
