It appears to me that there are fewer brick and mortar cutlery stores now than years ago. It also seems that the cutlery stores that are around are the chain type businesses, with multiple stores in several regional cities. Are the mom and pop cutlery stores a dying breed? I realize that with multiple chain stores the buying power would be greatly enhanced with larger discounts for the chain. I have read that the cutlery stores that also incorporate the Internet for sales do a small of amount of business on the web as opposed to the walk-in traffic. Just curious if any one has any opinions on the subject.
