Another Big Bowie

This one was made from salvaged sawmill blade and it is L6 steel. It has been forged and is 1/4" thick with a distal taper. The blade is 9".

I did it Sheffield style. I was saving a nice piece of Sambar for a piece like this.

I can't remember what kind of snakeskin is in the sheath. I had it in my sheath making supplies for the last 10 years.

Fantastic Bowie!

Very clean and very elegant...yet with a "now this is a knife" attitude as well!

That is one very nice looking Bowie. It has a real balance to it's appearance that many miss.

Whatever kind of snake it was, it sure wasn't a midget. Good sized pattern of scales. Very nice sheath.
