My Nephew just sent me these from his cell phone! :)

Taken early this morning in Jackson County, IL.

Those in your family really know how to shoot. Nice, buck. Congratulations to you AND your nephew.
 
Theres a lot of big bucks in Illinois. The Mississippi bottoms in Adams and Pike are loaded with nice bucks like this. I use to live in the flood plain and saw big deer constantly.
 
Awesome looking buck.

How wide was the spread on it? Looks like about 22" or so.....great looking buck!!!

Talked to him a little this afternoon.

He saw this one about 100 yards out, coming right down the trail towards his tree stand. At about 40 yards, it stopped and he took a shot and hit the ground under the deers belly. At that point he thought he was screwed, but it ran about 15 yards and stopped and was looking around like it wasn't sure where to go, and he nailed it with a second shot.

Right now, he's still in the clouds. :)
 
Had to revive this thread to show this one, this is my nephew with the deer pictured above, he just picked it up at the taxidermist and was on his way home, but had to stop by and show me.

damn fine buck there! if i were to see one with that width around here my knees would get weak quickly
 
Awesome buck! I have to go out of state again bowhunting.My buddy did a do it yourself bowhunt in Iowa on property he leased.took him 12 days but he killed a 174 inch 11 point. When we were in Ohio I got a 120 inch 10 point and he shot a 130 inch 10 point. Was a blast my first time hunting white tails out of state. Now caribou I have been up to Mirage outfitters on 3 occasions. Got 2 caribou all 3 times.
