I have found an additional sheathmaker for JK Handmade Knives, for those of you who want something a little nicer than my utilitarian sheaths. Rick Garcia (rayban on BF), has agreed to make sheaths for my knives. I`m sure he will be along shortly with some photos of his work. If you decide to order one of my knives without a sheath, depending on which model you order, I will reduce the price of the knife by $20-$25. Rick will be the one to decide on his pricing. I want it clearly understood that Rick is not replacing Noah (who is not taking orders at this time), but is another option for some really nice sheaths that I want to offer to my customers.

Thank you John for this opportunity...I'm honored to be referred to by such a reputable knife maker as yourself.

I'll be posting pictures shortly....meanwhile my website door is always open.

nice to meet you Rick, nice website. i like jk sheaths myself but like you said john if it gives you more time to grind it's all good. i had been thinking about a horizontal sheath for my edc so this might be good timing for me. when is this going to start?

I've emailed with Rick in the past and he is friendly, open to ideas, and damn talented. I have a Fiddleback knife he made a sheath for and it is a work of art. You all won't be disappointed in his work, it is top notch.

Thanks Rockywolf....I remember...

Here are a couple things I've done.......let's discuss any ideas you may have for the leather you're wanting...
My approach is to provide a good, solid, usable product at a reasonable price...and only by putting our heads together, can we decide what that is.
Again, I thank John for his confidence in my work to recommend me to his clientele.

That's great looking work rayban. I wouldn't mind getting a sheath like the first for my ESEE 4 and my JK Potawatomi.

Hi John -

Good deal! Welcome Rick!

I was recently looking at Rick's web site - I want to order one of his heavy belts to accent the Wasteland Leatherworks belt I have from Noah.

Nice looking sheaths, Rick.

best

Couldn't be more right, I just exchanged emails with rick and he's going to be god enough to make a sheath for my Anniversary EDC that's coming along in the next wee or so. He's great to deal with and I can't wait to see it.

Although I hope to be able to see a Noah sheath one day myself, I think Rick is going to be a great option as well.

Thanks to both John and rick for the chance

Just got of the phone with Rick, rayban, nice guy and easy to talk with. I think he'll fit in around here just fine: I sent him my phone number and received a phone call within the same hour I think, :)

He was very appreciative of the knife and managed to understand what I was trying to describe for a sheath, no easy task, ;)

thank for the chat rick, can't wait to see it all together

Here's a piece I just did for my newest folder, ZT 0550...
And some belts I'm working on.....

Nice chatting with you too...KYenglish......I meant to ask about the accent......makes sense now....I'm a little slow.

Yours is the first JK knife I do leather for in quite a while, ( I did a couple sheaths for JKs a year ago or so) and I'll say it again, I'm honored to work with such quality knives.
I won't let ya down.
