Here is another full frontal sharkskin sheath for my Busse Jackhammer. I did this one with a Kenny Rowe style "pin lock" retention system.

As usual I make no claims to being a photographer, however these pics seem a little worse than usual. :o

Overall I like this one. As long as each sheath is an improvement over the last and I learn something I am happy.

Thanks for looking and any comments or suggestions for improvement are welcome.

Nick

Now, Nick, you are beginning to click! This one is very nice top to bottom, and the fit and finish looks perfect from the photos. You are getting to the point where the critiques are going to become less kumbaya and more nit picking, at least from me. Your are in striking distance of that last 5% before perfection. I'd like to see an in focus close up of your edges from now on, as well as some closer shots of the stitching. You have come far since Blade, my friend.

You were talking about making a pin lock sheath with me at Blade! Looks like you got it figured out my friend. :) Did you get the pin nice and snug to the chiol? It sure does work well when it all falls together huh? Though it sure is a mess to get everything lined up. ;)

Good looking sheathwork. :D

I agree totally with Paul, theres less and less to find off with your work with each sheath done. Well done.

Thanks Paul! I will see about those shot of the stitching and edges. These are the last two areas where I feel I am not where I want to be. I hoping to do better on stitching by getting a sewing machine, when I can afford it. Of course I will have to lean to use the darn thing. Yet another steep learning curve :(

Thanks Dwayne,

Yeah it is a pain to get everything lined up doing a pin lock, but they do work pretty well. Well now I have a couple of belts to finish then I am going to start on my next sheath.

Thanks again guys,

Nick
