I bet there's a lot of life in that knife still. I wonder what the steel is. aus-6?

Yep, probably AUS-6. The auction says AUS-8, so maybe that's the case, but it seems unusual to me... Aren't SS Delicas made using AUS-6? Maybe they were previously made with AUS-8?
There's nothing wrong with stone-sharpening such a knife -- it actually works just fine. It wears down the serrations a little quicker than other methods such as fine ceramic rods, but I'd be interested to know who actually takes the time (and it does take some time) to sharpen their serrations anyway.
