I've been thinking, and thats usually dangerous, But we haven't had a good 'ol What do you want thread in awhile ! I've been getting sucked into the black hole of spontaneous purchasing of just about any old 2 dot 110 that pops up at a decent price. They aren't really that rare and if you think about it, it's a hard knife to beat for the money and you get a really good blade steel and tough as nails platform. I have them in my truck,My lunch box, My bedroom.... I've got retro fever and these were the first models of Bucks I ever owned when they were new and I was younger. So, after looking at a certain auction for one of the early 60's 110's and seeing the price of it , I am pretty sure I won't ever be able to own one like it in original form.It got me to thinking...(see above!)
Getting to my "wish". Wouldn't it be very cool if Buck knives were to Re-produce a first edition 110 to the exact specs of the original except for maybe a date stamp or Custom stamp on the blade ? Kind of like buying a brand new 1957 Chevy, But not? That first model 110 just has a look that defines the Kennedy era. It's a legend and a classic that most of us won't ever even see in person.
Please add your own wish knife to this list and lets hear what your special edition wish knife might be! Who knows, Maybe it might trigger a retro renaissance or open up a window into time and space !
