Hi this is DaQo'tah

and I have a knife that I wanted to make a moose antler / hidden tang handle for.

But I ran into a small problem today,
1st I was drilling holes in the cut antler for the tang to slide into , when I accidently drilled out a side...(so much for that slab of moose antler),

How do you guys keep from drilling out the side by mistake?

I have a 2nd slab of 1 & 1/2 inch thick moose antler, and I did drill this one out ok,,now, how do I work the antler?

what do I put on the sanded antler to make it look and feel nice?

do I need to treat the antler with something to protect it from swelling over time?

I have all the antler tines now left over, and I wish to know how you guys use them to make handles,,,,how do you do that stuff?
