If there aren't any chatrooms devoted to knife enthusiasts on Yahoo chat rooms or MSN there should be one here at bladeforums! Anyone agree?

Not really :)

I don't like to have to chat back imediately. I like to post stuff and then come back later to view and/or read other people's questions/posts.

I don't need to speak "real time" with folks all the time. I use MSN Messenger and also Yahoo messenger. My ID's are in my profile and I would assume that if folks want to chat with me they would just add me to their list :) I have my IM programs up all day at work.

Not trying to rain on your parade....just giving my opin :)

Fisher, I concur, many of these subjects take time to ponder, or gather data/graphics from other sources to fully exploit my brain.

I run an IRC server for my own use if anyone's interested. It's open to the public, let me know if you want a link.

There is, or was, a chanel on one of the irc servers, (it changed a couple of times), called #bladeforums.com

There was a reasonably active little crowd there at one time.

A Chat room would not be a bad idea. I know not everyone would like it but for those that would it could be a good thing. I was thinking of adding one to my forum but I have no clue how.

www.paltalk.com , misc.rooms, custom knife forum . live chat with makers most evenings starting at 7 pm central.many topics and no trolls permitted.introduce yourself and let people know why you are there.

Yep, we're still here at #bladeforums.com, we've switched servers numerous times but the room is still pretty active between 9pm and 1AM EST. Someone will chime in with the right server, I got mine on auto, don't remember what it was

The irc server we use is irc.noo.bz on unitedusers.net

Starting about 9EST I hang there till after midnight.

Tried Paltalk....is OK if you have broadband, otherwise is gimmicky. (Plus it loads some crap on my system I didn't care for)

Nice folks there though.

Regards,

Pat
