I just finished Deception Point. I actually liked it....a lot. I think this one would make a better move than The Da Vinci Code.

What about you guys?

I have a Masters in Architecture, specializing in Art and Architectural History. So, naturally, I was enthralled with The Da Vinci Code.

After that, I read Angels and Demons. Which was good...but not as enthralling as DVC. Deception Point, for me...was as good, or better, as any other suspense novel...with a political slant to it that broadened it more. I keep thinking about it. I did really enjoy it.

should note: I'm planning on reading Digital Fortress next. ;)

I really enjoyed Deception Point. My wife says Angels and Demons was best. I haven't started that one yet.

Deception Code was good, as was Da Vinci Code. I liked Angels and Demons best though.

Maybe I'm getting paranoid in my old age, but I actually believe that there may be some truth behind all the conspiracies in the Dan Brown books. Probable no, plausible most definitely.

I liked Angels and Demons best so far...but I've not read Deception Code. It's going to beach with me next week though.

wow....I read DVC first...and then A&D...thought DVC was much, much better. My wife thought A&D was much better. Maybe it's whichever you read first?!?

Anybody else read Digital Fortress yet?

So far.....loved it: 0..........hated it: 1

deception point then angels and demons, then Da Vinci Code then Digital Fortress in that order.....i have read them all and that just what i think!

Digital Fortress is pretty good. Could not finish Deception Point did not like the Special Forces as cold blooded assassin's bit.Maybe its wishful thinking but I just didn't buy into it. Turned me off from the book. That and the Snow Gun

I read the Da Vinci code in a couple days.
Thought it was great.
Only book by Dan Brown I read.

I'm a HUGE Michael Crichton fan.
Read all of his I believe.

How about that Helle's Belle, Dan?
Or a Crossada?

I liked DVC most, deception point least, but I liked them all. I wish he'd write another one.

Has anyone else ever wondered if he and Dale Brown are Brothers?

I have read most of Dan Brown's books, with the possible exception of Digital Fortress don't really remember. I am dyslexic as some of you may know and actually "read"/ listen to books on tape which I get free from the government kind of a long story there. I like Dan Brown's books possibly like deception point best but I like special operations,

a definitely think Jurassic Park would be a good recommendation. also

I come from a family of readers, I read more than most of them if not everyone, because it is so easy for me to do many things while reading and they are once again free entertainment. But I like can alluded to I believe have a slight guilt complex, about reading popular fiction, and a lot of science-fiction. including a few science-fiction magazines I get on a regular basis.

my point being that while there is definite intellectual value, to historical nonfiction novels, as well is more challenging intellectual works. I think the important thing is to read. supposedly the average American reads less than one book a year. I am amazed at how many words that I consider regular part of my vocabulary are not understood by people.

A few recommendations for me.
Terry Pratchett this World Series any extremely funny and good social satire.

Analog science fiction, a science-fiction magazine that is somewhat hard to get, at your local newsstand. but worth finding. if you are interested on mail you a copy next time I find one. or a mixture of short stories and factual science articles for the layperson.

Also "the hot zone", a quasi-nonfiction novel about a Ebola break out.

Without remorse by Tom Clancy.

in the original "Dune"
