Any idle Bow Legged Joes out there?

I carry a Bow Legged Joe every day in a Talfuchre horizontal sheath, and I want to pick up a few more like it along the way. The one I carry is shown below with the larger, wooden handle. (For Pete's sake, Andy, remind me what that wood is, it's embarrassing for me not to know!)

If anybody has a Bow Legged Joe that they aren't using and wouldn't mind letting it go, any condition/configuration, shoot me a PM or Email. I'm specifically looking for any that have the longer, thicker handles like the wooden version above. I guess I'm turning into a chubby chaser, like Rotte! ;)

I've gotten on Andy's list for a loaded one - fullsize Jade G10 scales, black liners, black bullseye, scandi-grind, with filework anywhere he sees fit...only thing I forgot was a Cohea-style etch! :) A Sunday-go-to-meetin' BLJ!

Anybody that hasn't given the BLJ a chance at becoming their EDC should try it. It's a FANTASTIC little tool!

Chain,

I've got an order in with Andy for a 3-finger BLJ. What is that called? A Lanky BLJ? LBLJ?

Maybe you can have my BLJ when I get my LBLJ....

(Andy, I do have this order in, right?)

Yea. I got y'all both down. I'm going to be focusing on Orders for a while too. It shouldn't be long.

Sweet! Can't wait to see pics of your new one! What kind of handle are you getting?

I have one, but I'm not selling it.:D They are great little EDCs aren't they.

Chainring, how do you like carrying it in a horizontal sheath? I was thinking about doing the same thing.

Oh, man, that was YOUR set! That's awesome, all the way down to the GITD bullseye!

The horizontal sheath, especially from Talfuchre, is beyond compare. You never know it's there until you need it. Here's a link to Tal's thread showing a couple pics of mine.

If you get him to make one for you, this design is perfect for a 1 inch belt - if you wear a 1.5 or 1.75 belt you'll need to spec a slightly larger belt loop. It's fantastic. A Bow Legged Joe in a Talfuchre sheath...it's like jewelry for men. :) Get him to do a fob for you, as well. Very handy - I think I'm going to send a Damascus bead in with the next project, so he can incorporate it into my fob.

That brings up an interesting question...I wonder if Andy has ever done a damascus Bow Legged Joe? ;)

Great idea, I might be interested in a damascus BLJ too.

I saw your "Fiddleback Flock" post and you have a serious collection going. Thanks for the link to those pics, it really helped to see them. Looks like I've got some sheath ordering to do.

That middle one looks nice!;)

Holy hell, I NEED one of those....what kind of price tag does one of these carry? How many pints of Guinness do I need to bride you with to make one for me?

The base price for a BLJ is $115. A pocket sheath from JRE adds $15.

Cav Scout, I think Andy MIGHT have a couple left from Blade Show, but they may not be the base model. Don't hold me to that, though, they are such a sweet little knife that he may be sold out. Well worth the wait, if need be!
