I was reading an article about the surefire crank and can not find any info on it online.

It looks like a pretty cool little knife and I'd like to read more about it.

So.... Who has one or knows of a good place online to read about it? I don't see anything on the SF website.

I haven't seen or heard anything about that, including the 2009 catalog.

while i am familiar with several SF knives, alpha, bravo, etc, i dont recall hearing of a "crank".

generally, SF knives have been good, with good designs and pretty good F&F, i really like the alpha, they are pretty expensive for what ya get, imho anyway.

my google fu is weak, i got nothing id like to hear more about this, im pretty up to date on surefires products and i havent ever heard of this before.

I read the article in Blade magazine this month, it also had pics. It stated a 3" blade with a couple of other cool gadgets incorporated into the handle like a wrench in the handle that will also accept a quarter to be placed in it for use as a screw driver. It also uses liner lock that has a tab on the top of the handle that is used to unlock it. There's a cord cutter that uses the closed blade to cut cord and will also double as a bottle opener. It was a very short article and states a MSRP of not more than $250

I can't find anything online about it. I guess I could scan the article for you guys since I can't find it on the Blade mag website either.

$250 for a 3" blade, wrench, and screw driver?

I live my Surefires as much as the next guy but I think that's a bit much. :(

You forgot about the bottle opener :D

I wish I could find that mag - I'd scan the pics for you guys.

I looked at the recent catalogs, but the more I think about this the more familiar it sounds. I can't draw a picture or even any specific details, but it sounds oddly familiar.

Since I am such a nice guy I just tracked down my SF catalog and took a few scans. Should be up in a few.

You can also check out their website and DL the catalog and see it there.

Sorry for having just one as I am trying to fix my digital camera!

Interesting.

Normally I can allow for a high price (it is Surefire, afterall), but in this instance I don't think I'll be so foregiving.

That thing is fugly. looks like it would hurt the hand too.

To each his own I guess.... I like it... a lot.

Thanks for posting the pic.
