Hey there guys, a while ago I got my very first ZT, the 0561 and am in love with the build quality of the knife. I have been a fan of the bowie blade shape as well as most funky ethnic style knives for a while now and was wondering if the ZT/Kershaw fanbase has any interest in a higher end, tough, precisely machined tactical bowie folder. This does not necessarily have to be a machined titanium frame lock like the trend is right now.. perhaps a super strong liner lock, non assisted, a plain old manual bowie folder with nice bushings and low ride clip at all 4 ends. As far as materials, ZT is moving toward the nicer end of the spectrum and we are seeing finely machined brown g10, carbon fiber etc.. so maybe 2 slabs of a new uniquely machined pattern of olive drab or tan g10 and a DLC black bowie blade
I guess my inspiration for this post was seeing the Emerson CQC-13 in all black.. I thought to myself this is a cool knife, but I bet ZT can make a much nicer one. For reference here is the 13:
So my question.. what do you guys think of ZT taking on the classic American bowie and implementing their modern technology?
