I was thinking about kit knives a few weeks ago. It seems like the only way I could get a handmade knife until I finish school next spring(It sucks having no money). I think a pocketmuk(maybe with a 3.5 blade) forged finish with a rawhide/leather wrapped grip would be awesome!! Also a kephart would be cool as well. (nobody take my idea...jk)

I edited the first post with prices. Any of these sold will be marked with a .K instead of a K.

i have plenty of projects as it is, the garage is a mess and i don't have a belt sander to finish handles on.

sure, i could buy a belt sander and find a place to put it.

in short, even tho i'm a cheap bastard, for now it's probably best if i stick to finished knives.

nothing against kit knives tho, it's a great idea.

Hi Stomper -

Not for me - I would just make a mess of it I am sure.

I like 'em just the way you produce 'em!

best regards -

I didn't see this before the gathering. I like the idea. I've been thinking of trying to make a knife, so this would be a good start. Hardest decision will be to pick a model.
