Any smiths near Tucson?

I live in the north of Tucson, and was wondering if there was anybody nearby I could come and visit, to see how this whole knife making process gets done. I'm just an interested buyer, no skills at the moment.

And would anybody know if there are smithing classes available in this area?

You live pretty close to one of the best ABS Mastersmiths. Tim Hancock lives in Scottsdale. According to my atlas, that is about a 100 miles away. Tim is one heck of a nice guy too. I know that sometimes, he has a hammer in at his shop.

Get a copy of Krause publications "Knives 2002". In the back, it lists all the knifemaker who want to be found, both alphabetically, and by state. I show eight knifemakers, in and around Tucson.
