Anybody Know About "Shedua" Wood?

This looks pretty dramatic but I wonder if it's suitable for knife handles.

works well, oily enough it doesn't really need stabilizing. rather plain, leastways what i got did..

It sure reminds me of some Lignum Vitae I had. Here's a somewhat crappy pic of a planer blade knife I made about 4 years ago with a Ligum Vitae handle.

Nice knife! And thanks for the link, that's a keeper. Sounds like it would be good wood, I'm thinking about bidding that one.

Neat looking. Sorry, I don't know anything about it though Dave. Looks kinda like a slightly darker zebra wood.
