I was just wanting to hear some feedback on this particular knife to me for some reason the Buck 113 ranger skinner looks like a practical and no nonsense pattern that would be useful to the serious knife user. The more time I spend around knives and using them it seems more and more like I'm always reaching for my smaller fixed blades I own quite a few but the traditional styling of the 113 has realy grabbed my interest.

I have one and just love to fondle it. I have yet to put it to good use, though. Maybe during an upcoming spring turkey/hog hunt. The 113 is a really attractive knife, IMO.

I'm sure thinking about getting one, but the Buck website keeps saying, "Not Currently Available."

It says that about most things that I like.

I have one and it's nice, a bit on the small side but definitely a good little skinner. I have not had a chance to use it yet but have no concerns that it will perform as it should.

I was wondering the same thing the other day. I am definitely going to get one before hunting season starts, probably a lot sooner than that :D

As much as I like the 112's, I just know this knife and I will bond. I want it for working on game, and I have no doubt it will work very well.

The blade is fine for whitetail size game, I wish the handle was a little longer for my mit.

The 113 is available at the Buck store in Post Falls so it should be available thru the web site.

If this knife is a success and it appears to have a lot of interest...then we may be lucky enough to see this pattern enlarged to a 3.5 - 3.75 inches blade.

I've always liked this knifes grind but rarely do you see it on anything other than really high-end knives.

That's my only complaint about the knife, the handle is just a smidge smaller than I would prefer it to be. Still fits good but I can't help but wonder how awesome it would be with a handle about 1 inch longer, maybe even .5 inches.

Yup, thats it trev.-- .3-.5" would make all the difference.

I'm with you Gordon, the grind on that blade is great!:)

There's quite a few of them on that auction site. I recently bid on one and should, could, be getting it today. I like, and carry a 112 daily, so, I'm intrigued with the 113. We shall see..........

I'd also like to see the 113 with a 112 like clip point blade in addition to the droop point.

After seeing the pictures here I just had to order one of these. Not sure what I'll do with it but decided "need" really doesn't play a part in most of my purchases so why should this be any different? Have you guys had a chance to use yours yet?

This is the only one I have (so far) and I can tell that it makes a superb letter opener! Not being a hunter, I'll have to let others be the judge of how they perform at their designed tasks.
