Hello and Happy New Year:
I have been looking hard at a KFF. They seem really nice. Does anyone have one and could they pass on any insight on them? Are they worth about $400? It looks like they are, but I would love opinions from some KFF owners. Thanks in advance

Doug

Hi Doug. Currently do not have one, but in my time I've had about 7 or 8 of these folders and have yet to find a bad one or anything wrong with the knife. Don't let the fact that I've had so many and ended up selling/trading them all away color my post. This has nothing to do with the quality of this knife. The handle is the most ergonomic handle I've ever felt. Your hand just naturally grips it and it feels right at home around it. The blade is pointy sharp and has enough belly to it to be a great slasher along with being a good sticker. Since about 99% of the use will be for everyday task this knife fits the bill there also. It is indeed worth the asking price, if not a little more! :D :)

one of the best designs in modern fighting folders. great handle ergonomics. I had 3 and now have two. you can't go wrong with these...plus Wes and Pat are great to work with and make sure the customer is always happy with the end result.

Doug,

I have had one for about 5 years now. It is the best knife I have ever owned. It is the only knife I carry. In fact it is the only folding knife I currently own. I have carried it in about a dozen countries. Even split wood with it in Kosovo. Wouldn't trade it in a million years, worth every penny.

it's a beautiful piece of equipment that you won't regret owning. i haven't had to send it back to the crawfords for anything yet (seeing as i just got it), but i've only ever heard great things about their customer service.

to get an idea about the ergonomics, see if you can handle the CRKT versions at your local cutlerly store. as i understand it, the ergos are almost identical. the major differences are that the customs have much better materials and build quality and lack a LAWKS (it doesn't need one, in my opinion). i've got a small crkt kff and a large crawford version. both are great blades.

i don't know if you plan on collecting or using your knife. either way, pat and wes crawford's knives should serve you well.
