Anyone have an IWB sheath from Master Clay?

I got one no more than a month ago. Let me be the first to tell you that they are excellent. Attention is payed to every detail and the craftsmanship is wonderful.

My main concern was that it would pinch, afterall, bali handles are somewhat squared off at the top and then there's the latch to contend with. I'm not what you'd call skinny either, so there's also love handles to get in the way. Not a problem. I love mine and have wore it every day and night since I received it. Go for it, it's a wise investment that will help you get the most enjoyment out of your balisong.

If you do a search, you will find a lot of other great remarks about Clay's handiwork.

Wire is right...you'll love it...really nicely done (as all Clay's sheaths are). Very comfortable.., and the added belt-catch is done to perfection!

Does this sheath go inside the waistband of your pants? I dont really wear belts, so Im just curious if you can do it with this sheath. I think its the same as the "In the Waistband" sheath on Clays own site, but I would just like to make sure before I buy one. If you wear it in the waistband, I would love to hear how it wears, pros and cons etc. thanks! :)

XenHongman, yes the IWB is the same In the WaistBand sheath. If you don't wear belts, the sheath may come out with the bali as you draw it. The little hook on the clip is to make sure the sheath doesn't do that, by hooking to the underside of the belt. There may not be enough friction from the clip to the pants, to overcome the friction of the bali in the sheath. Clay did make the IWB without the J-clip. If you wear jeans alot, I recommend the In the Pocket sheath. That one works extremely well in close fitting pants. Email him to find out what your options are.

Did a little forum searching and came across this,

I really like the part where he says that the sheath works equally well without a belt for the hook to engage. I am thinking I am going to order one tomarrow :) I havent seen any posts saying that Clay's sheaths aren't top notch so it's an impossible deal to resist.

I am curious though, what do you forumgoers use as sheaths? Im thinking most use Clay's.

Glad to hear it guys.

I remember when Clay's first "Extreme Consealex" post popped up (man that was a while ago...) and have wanted one ever since. Now they are readily available!
Should be a great combo with my 43.
