Anyone manufacture bags / luggage

Hi all

I am in Northern Virginia and I am looking for someone who can make me a bag out of some tough material to my specs. About 24 inches long by 12 inches wide by 12 inches high with a central padded section and compartments on the sides or end where I can store odds and ends. Also need one padded compartment on the side where I can store my laptop when traveling and a shoulder sling.

I already have a bag but the quality of the material is so poor that it is falling apart and it is now irritating me immensely. I can provide specs or photos if needed. I don't mind paying for shipping if there is someone out of state who can do this for me.

do a google search for Reload Baggage. they are a really small philly based company that started making bombproof courier bags for their friends and blew up. awsome bags, great quality, cool designs etc. good company to support imo. you get what you pay for with them. good luck- CB

I don't have a recommendation offhand, but I would be interesting in hearing about the failed bag. Brand name, how long you've owned it, etc.

Have you browsed the selection at LowePro, Duluth Trading, and Filson?

Thank you for the suggestions so far. One of the complications is that the bag must carry a helmet which is why I want it padded and every bag that I have looked at either lacks this padding or lacks strength. I have looked at dedicated helmet bags but it is difficult to find a place where I can look at many examples since most stores don't keep a large supply in stock. I have almost given up on finding a stock item that fits all my needs hence my request for someone to make a bag specifically for me.

My current bag is over 2 years old and is a great bag except for the poor quality material they used in manufacture. It's not a well known brand so please forgive me for not mentioning their name, I don't want to create problems. I can PM you with details if you really want them but I doubt you will encounter their products in everyday use.

I looked at all the places mentioned and cannot find what I want just yet. Thanks again.
