after pondering on this and other subjects i have disscussed with Yvsa.
i have decided to post an apology to all for any miss understanding
and hurt, my posts caused, truly none was meant.
and i will endeavour to be more carefull of persons feelings in posts from now on.

as regards Yvsa and myself.
Yvsa proved the kind of gentleman he was and is, by taking the time and effort to make contact with me personaly even though he had grave reservations of my intent. and explained to me why he took such great offences to me and my comments.
i except totaly what he had to say, an unreservadly give a full apology here in the public forum.

we are now starting again from scratch, and i look forward to future posts here on the hi forum, and to him.

i will just have to be a bit more carefull how i come across in them in the future.

one last thing i have in respect for all Soldiers everywhere, including the Ghurkas, decided to lay down thier proud name an pick one of my own. to further show my respect. thanks all regards for the last time Ghorka. :( :(

You've done the right thing.

Welcome to the Cantina.

First things first...

I hate to see a fuzzy avatar, so here's a clear one:
(should be the right size)

More power to you buddy, lets remember what this forum is all about after all though !!

We're in it together and the members of this forum have all found something very special, lets keep it that way !!

Welcome to the Cantina Ken.
I'm really pleased that you done the right thing and now I know you are who you say you are.:D
You have brought honor to yourself.

Hi Ghorka,
don't worry too much about it. Discussing politics or religion is doomed to cause trouble....
Best to just ignore everything political and sharpen your khuks....

I agree with Raindog, Religion and Politics are very close to people's hearts and can cause a lot of trouble. I wish I was better at staying out of those conversations myself. Apologies show the true character of a man, well done.

About 50 years ago when I was serving aboard the USS Warrington there was a sign in the officer's wardroom:

"No discussion of religion, politics or women!"

I told you Navy officers were dull characters.

Don't forget fork vs. spoon. Or was that just propaganda from Campbells?

:D HEE HEE

Kentucky Fried Chicken (don't know if you have these in Saudi;)) solved that with the "spork" or "fpoon" but spork just sounds better:rolleyes: :D

By the way Bruise, your sig line cracks me up!!:D:D

Lets not forget the battles between

"Taste great" vs. "Less Filling"
Dine in vs. Carry out
Chicken vs. Egg
Chocolate vs. Peanut butter (rectified by the invention of the peanut butter cup)
Rock vs. Paper vs. Scissors
Coke vs. Pepsi

...to name a few (heehee!)

neither camp respects those that cop out and use sporks. Sometimes its best to bite the bullet and take a stand.

Should one actually want that useless implement, best to refer to it as a "spork". A request phrased with the "fpoon" terminology may evoke an unanticipated response.:)

our motto in the scouts was always

"Take it like a man, wipe it with your hand!"

Thank you very much for the clear flag pendentive. :D

Kendo - changing your handle (name) was a good idea...I'm glad you did it. It will help the past remain in the past.

avatar = You are welcome. Yours was #99 in the count of avatars I've made for bladeforums members. And now, the honorable Howard Wallace is going to be #100. Keep your eyes peeled...;)
